Simple Sides

Simple Sides is a resource pack that streamlines the side textures of Grass, Snowy Grass, Grass Path, Podzol, Mycelium, Crimson Nylium, and Warped Nylium!

  • Support for Bedrock Edition
  • Support for Java Edition
  • Designed to work in conjunction with all resource packs

You can share this resource pack, but please refer others to this MCPEDL post, or the official Simple Sides GitHub Repository only.

i really like this pack, but i am trying to work on my own (for windows 10) and want to ask how do you change the grass and snow grass textures? if their is any advice you could give please let me know?

I decided to discontinue Linear Logic as it became a project that I wasn't looking forward to working on anymore. Considering I work on my resource packs for fun, I didn't see a reason to keep it around anymore because it was becoming less and less interesting/useful. But with the ends of projects, new ones begin to form as well!
Expect new releases coming soon... ?

Awesome pack, love the simple sides, though there is this marching band background music which is kinda a bummer for me as I want to keep this pack at all times but I don't like the different music.

Simple Sides doesn't include any custom music, so the music may be coming from a separate resource pack you also have applied.

MCPE has had some issues with installing addons recently, so I’m not quite sure what the best way to install packs is. I imagine there are tutorials online on how to get around the issues if it still isn’t working for you. Sorry I couldn’t help! ?

Nice but this would be better if the sides of dirt blocks will look like the original sides of grass blocks when under a grass block. Hope you implement my idea.

Do you mean like the Connected Textures Mod (CTM) for Java Edition? That sadly isn’t possible to create for Bedrock Edition yet. When it is possible, I’ll take on the challenge :)

I do not understand why the Fall Color Foliage does not work, although it has activated and deactivated the option trying again and again does not work, I have the 1.9

I would try deactivating the pack entirely, reactivate it again, and then change the pack setting to the Fall Foliage option before going back to the main menu. Then, restart your game, and load up a world to see if it works!
If this doesn’t fix it, I will try to fix it when v1.9 comes out officially, because it could be an issue specific to v1.9, and I currently don’t have the beta installed.

Can you make it so that if a dirt block is under a grass block, it will have the original glass texture, but if a dirt block is under another dirt block, it will retain it's texture?

If you have access to a file explorer, you can remove the customized double stone slab by following these steps:
1. Download the .zip version of Simple Sides
2. Extract all of the contents
3. Open the new folder, and delete the “blocks.json” file (this is where the custom double stone slab information is located)
4. Select the remaining contents of the folder
5. Right click, and select “Send to compressed (zipped) folder”
6. Choose a name of your choice + retype the file extension .zip to .mcpack

Now you can open it with Minecraft and apply it in Global Resources!
This will be the same process when a new update of this pack is released.

Hopefully this works for you! :)

My game crashes when I apply the texture pack. I use a Samsung Galaxy S5 and my version is 1.5.0.7. Is there any fix?

I think most likely it is that it is meant to work with the later 1.5 updates, because I am on 1.5.3, the latest update, and it works fine for me. So I recommend updating to 1.5.3 first. If updating to the most recent release doesn’t fix the problem, I will work to fix it for everyone with the problem. Sorry for the mishap!

This resource pack auto-loads the textures from the other pack you're using. You could be using any texture pack, and this will slightly alter the way grass blocks, it's variants and stone slabs render, but that texture will be from the resource pack of your choice.
