SG Pocket Expansion [Survival]

This map was originally created for Java Edition, but it has now (by request of the original author) been recreated in Bedrock Edition. Pocket Expansion is basically a new survival gamemode where you must survive in the sky in an ever-expanding environment. The world terrain generation works very from vanilla though. Random blocks will randomly appear around you. Other randomized generations include spawned mobs and skyblock islands. This is considered one of the toughest survival challenges in Minecraft! Original Java Map by: JUSTCAMH (Original Java Map) Creators: SkyGames Team (Twitter) (Website): MCPEtraswen (Owner), Luma (Main Builder), jobetyk (Main Builder), FogzGamez (Co-Owner), McMCPE1234 (Tester), AmazingGamerPH (Renderer), DJTMGaming (Server Manager), InNova (Builder), deadmanplaysMC (Builder), LUCKYBLOCK17o (Builder), FHMiner (Builder & Models), pattcosmics (Builder)

How does it work?

As soon as you've spawned in the world blocks will automatically start generate around you at random. Logs, planks, dirt, ores and stone are more common than let's say glowstone, concrete and wool. They spawn the most frequent at Y:50. Mobs also spawn occasionally (and most commonly at Y:51+). That's certainly quite useful for farming. Occasionally larger islands will spawn like this sandstone island and sometimes it includes a chest.

I feel like the mob spawning ratio on this map is WAY to high. I tried setting my spawn point by getting a bed, yet, that was nearly impossible to get due to all of the skeletons shooting me off the edge. Also, there are too many blocks! It’s impossible to see anything, and if you decide to build a house, PRO TIP: BUILD LOW. But this map gets a 3 because it’s also really stressful.

.mcworld isn't working for me. When I press "Open in Minecraft" it says the level is being imported. Then, it says level imported successfully, but no world is there. I use iOS 9, and I use an iPad mini. Please fix

It’s not their fault now in Minecraft .mcworld goes to a random place in your worlds.

People are really giving this a low rating because they are getting shot off blocks? If you want to plant flowers in a field with your chicken coop this is NOT for you. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is the expansion need to SLOW the spawn rate on empty areas at some point, they get way too "packed in" that not even mobs become a threat anymore. If it's spread out more this will pose more of a challenge from both the mobs and having to traverse to the necessary resources. I also had some lag when the map became "flooded" with active / visible blocks.

The key is to build high or low out of the spawning field, I personally prefer high to get sun during the day for resources. Building low brings tons of drops but also the occasional river of lava and water from above.

I haven't tried to escape the spawn field horizontally however my assumption is the field will follow you, has anyone tried?

Could you build a bace or will it be taken over by the blocks?

1. So if I went AFK overnight on this map, there would be thousands of randomly generated blocks
2. if I made multiple copies of the world would the blocks be the same or different?

To people having trouble building build near the void as blocks don't spawn there

I think if the block spawning was a bit slower it would be better. I also find that the chests with the stone pickaxe and stuff are too common. Also, (this my personal opinion) I find keep inventory off to be lots of fun.

Been looking forward to a bedrock port of this for ages ^.^
However, it’s annoying that the blocks can overwrite anything; including other blocks and the bedrock spawn platform. If I had placed down chests it would overwrite them too. It’s impossible to build anything because the blocks will get replaced, and slowly but surely the bedrock spawn was changing to different blocks and then being blown up by creepers. If this is fixed I would be extremely happy with the map; in its current form you just can’t do anything.

You can build safely at the block spawn height limit. Which can be seen and defined after a while of playing.
