If you are looking for a challenge as soon as you have spawned in a new world then this dungeon perhaps would be a nice enough challenge for you. Dig down at one of the blocks in front of you and drop down into a dungeon with a chest and zombie spawner.
The loot in the chest is nothing incredible, but it's at least enough items to survive your first night.
