The spawn consists of one main island, a quite small one made out of sand and grass. Close to the main island (about 5-10 blocks away) there is another island made out of just sand. On the main island there are four trees and some flowers.
Here are the four trees you can cut down and make yourself a house with. A good idea can also be to save one of the trees and use it to harvest apples for food and saplings to grow new trees.
Farther away from the two little islands you spawn at there are a couple of other islands.
